Most seed dealers prefer to highlight the end results of their seed production with
images of beautiful flowers and large, perfect vegetables. However, several seed
dealers included images of their seed fields. The two most commonly shown were fields
of carrots with their beautiful Queen Anne's Lace flowers, and onions. James J. H.
Gregory of Marblehead, Massachusetts thought to show his customers the beauty of a
large onion seed field in bloom, "one of six" as proudly noted in the catalog.
